What galvanised coil is, and why it is chosen
Galvanised coil is thin steel strip wound into a roll. During production the strip passes through a bath of molten zinc, leaving both faces sheathed in a thin, hard zinc layer.
That layer is not paint but a physical barrier separating the steel from moisture and oxygen. Corrosion attacks the zinc first and the steel underneath stays intact. The result is a material that lasts far longer than plain steel outdoors and in damp conditions — which is why galvanised coil is the base stock for ceiling and wall profiles, roofing and framing components.
Kalesan LLC both rolls these coils into profiles and supplies the galvanised coil itself at wholesale.
